After talking with ~SkimpyStoner about Unrivaled, he suggested that I made a graphic novel for it first. I had wanted to just come out with a movie, but after thinking about it, who'd want to see this random anime movie out of nowhere. So, here's where you guys come in.

Should I go for the graphic novel and possibly start a website on smackjeeves to start submitting pages, or should I just continue working strictly on the movie?

Please give opinions and thoughts.

Thanks,

 Rei

I'd go with the graphic novel first.

My enemies are without Honor. I bring them only Vengeance.. and Death.
For the animation, you need to have storyboards first, so making a graphic novel first is a better way if you ask my opinion. Best luck !
That was what I was thinking, but you don't really need them... I mean, if you're really reckless you could do it without the story boards. You would still have to make sure you have the story line in order on paper or in your head first though.

I'm with you though, the novel would be a good idea to do first, I think.
I've tried both. You'll have better results and save time if you have it almost all pre-planned. You may recklessly add/change things you like upon them afterwards. It depends. That's my opinion.
I think the graphic novel idea is a good one. And as the others have previously said it will help with storyboarding for your movie, not to mention give those who you plan on selling the novel to an idea of your characters, plot, and story.

I also think that a website is another good idea about getting your story out to the public. Maybe even too give a brief period where you put the first few pages up as a web comic type of thing.

Any way you do it, I'm behind you 100%. :glomp:
